President-elect Donald Trump announced that one of the first things he will do as soon as he assumes office is to remove the United States from the World Health Organization (WHO).
Giving reasons for the planned immediate withdrawal, Trump said that the WHO has become a corrupt globalist scam funded by the US but owned and controlled by China.
Recalling the Covid pandemic which he claims originated from the Wuhan lab in China and usually refers to as “China virus”, Trump alleged that the WHO helped the communist state in the grand coverup.
The MAGA activist revealed the unfavorable financial terms between the US and China as regards the World Health Organization. He said that the US with a population of about 330 million people contributed almost $500 million annually to the WHO meanwhile China which has about 1.4 billion people pays only $40 million per year with its booming economy.
Trump first sought to leave the WHO in the latter part of his first tenure. His administration sent a letter to the United Nations to formally inform them of their intention to withdraw. Requirements for final cessation include giving a 1-year notice and paying outstanding dues.
However, Biden re-joined the WHO when he wrestled power from Trump. While Trump was making the announcement, he called Biden “foolish” because he did not make any negotiation or reforms He revealed that the WHO was eager to take the US back for a $25 to $30 million deal but Biden left the negotiation table and took the former $500 million expense – “one of many things that are wrong with our country”, Trump noted.
He further said that the Biden administration is seeking to bypass the United States Senate to enter a pandemic treaty that will see America’s sovereignty crumble to “China-controlled” WHO. He gave insight into the treaty that it mandates the US to send large amounts of supplies to other countries in the event of a future global pandemic and will also push for wide censorship of free speech in issues like public health.
Trump vowed to stand in the way of the globalist (global government), taking the media back to when he said “They’re not coming after me. They’re coming after you. I’m just standing in their way, and I always will stand in their way.”
He called for the “corrupt World Health Organization” to be completely dissolved and said he would create a replacement that would uphold the sovereignty of member nations.
