The co-founder of Sound Talent Group (STG), Dave Shapiro, tragically lost his life on Thursday morning, May 22, in a plane crash in San Diego.
Dave Shapiro, who was a music agent, was among those who died when their 1985 Cessna Citation crashed around 4 a.m. in the Tierrasanta neighbourhood.
Authorities confirmed there were no survivors. The identities of the other victims have not been released pending family notification.
He was a respected person in the musical world. He co-founded the group Sound Talent Group (STG) in 2018 after he worked at the United Talent Agency and the Agency Group. Among his clients during his career were Sum 41, Pierce the Veil, I Prevail, and Eve 6.
He was a dedicated hero of punk, hard rock, and indie music and ran Velocity Records.
Aside from that, the 42-year-old star was popular for his adventurous lifestyle; he was also an experienced pilot with more than 10 years of flight experience. Shapiro was the owner of a flight instruction company, Velocity Aviation
