Police Gets DNA, Evidence To Track UnitedHealthcare CEO Killer | Bomb Scared Occured In His Home Night Before Murder

Authorities have added more energy to their search for the suspect involved in the hitman-style assassination of Brian Thompson, the CEO of UnitedHealthcare, who was shot and killed early Wednesday morning on a New York City sidewalk.

It was also revealed by the police that the suspect made use of a fake ID to enter a hostel on Manhattan’s Upper West Side and made payment with cash. Officials were also seen moving out of the AYH Hostel on Thursday, while it is not clear if the venue has any linkage to my murder case.

Evidence is being analyzed by the New York Police Department, including a burner phone that the suspect dropped in an alley not too long after the murder. Those in charge of the investigation are already gathering data from the device, including the fingerprints that were on it.

A DNA check has been collected from a water bottle that was dropped at a nearby Starbucks, and it is being used to build a suspect profile. It was also mentioned that the suspect paid in cash at the coffee shop.

The UnitedHealthcare CEO killing came as a surprise to the community though Thompson’s family might have been on high alert following a bomb scare in his home, the night before his murder.
