Bournemouth Draws Crystal Palace On Boxing Day

A draw against a strong Crystal Palace side has extended AFC Bournemouth‘s unbeaten streak in their Premier League to six matches after a hard-fought match at the Vitality Stadium.

Andoni Iraola’s squad started the match in good spirit after previously conquering Manchester United, with a missed opportunity from Dango Ouattara and a brilliant effort from Antoine Semenyo but was denied by Ismaïla Sarr.

While Bournemouth continues to hold sway and dominate the game, Crystal Palace got a chance when Sarr finished clinically, but the goal was taken out due to offside.

Crystal Palace lost their last game in an embarrassing 5-1 to Arsenal, and in a way to recover, they showed their defensive resilience against Bournemouth, frustrating the team and limiting their chances to secure three points. A brilliant opportunity was later created by Lewis Cook, which set up Evanilson and Philip Billing, but neither player could convert them into goals.

Bournemouth, popular for scoring late goals, could not convert a single goal against Crystal Palace as they were forced to share a point each that keeps them in the battle for European qualification.

This draw marks a good setback for the Palace recently, showcasing their strong away display this season under head coach Oliver Glasner.
