TV Personality Chuck Woolery Passes Away At 83

Chuck Woolery, a television personality and believed game show host, died at the age of 83.

Mark Young, who was a friend to Woolery and his podcast colleague to Mark Young, confirmed his death. He also added that the television personality died a peaceful death in his home in Texas, with his wife, Kristin, by his side. The cause of the death is yet to be announced.

Woolert became popular as the original host of Wheel of Fortune, a position that he held between 1975 and 1981 before Pat Sajak took over from him due to an issue in the contract. 

He was also a host of Love Connection from 1983 to 1994, a show for dating that was later revived after other hosts joined him; this was after his time as the host for Wheel of Fortune. Woolery game show career included Lingo, The Dating Game, Greed, and Scrabble.

He also hosted talk shows that include ‘The Chuck Woolery Show’ and ‘Home & Family’ in addition to his game shows.

Among his talents include singing; he was a musician, and he performed alongside The Avant-Garde and was also on television shows like Scrubs and Sister, Sister.

He was also popular for his vibrancy in conservative views, which he also said was one of those things that shaped him. Woolery left behind three children, Michael, Sean, and Melissa.
