Trans Actress Hunter Schafer Speaks Out In 8-Minute Video After Being Identified As Male In New Passport

Popular trans actress Hunter Schafer has spoken out for the first time concerning Trump’s policies and how it has affected the LGBTQIA community.

Posting an eight-minute video on her TikTok account, the male-to-female transgender narrated how she saw the Male gender representation on her new passport rather than the female representation since she has fully transitioned.

Her passport was stolen while she was filming in Barcelona and she had to get a temporary one. Immediately, she went to the States and applied for a new passport, putting female as her identification. However, got the shock of her life. When she got her passport, she saw a big ‘M’ in the identification listing.

“I do think it is worth posting to sort of note the reality of the situation that it is actually happening,” she said.

“And I was shocked. I was shocked because I didn’t think it was actually going to happen.”

Schafer had changed her gender ever since she was a teenager. She was even identified as female on her driver’s license. However, Schafer admitted she had never had her birth certificate changed, which is why they knew she was trans.

“It doesn’t really change anything about me or my trans-ness. However, it does make life a little harder,” said the actress who was born in Trenton.

The actress also spoke about how Trump’s executive orders have affected the trans community and how he is acting like they don’t exist.

“I just want to say trans people are beautiful. We are never going to stop existing. I’m never going to stop being trans. A letter and a passport can’t change that,” she said.

From his presidential inauguration, Trump had declared that his administration was only going to recognize two genders, Male and Female by birth.
