Two men dead and a woman was critically injured in a knife attack across Manhattan on Monday. This was confirmed by the New York Police Department (NYPD).
A 51-year-old homeless man got arrested following the incident and stabbings at three separate locations, and he has been sentenced in a criminal case and criticized systematic failures. Mayor Eric Adams said.
In a news conference, Adams said the violence started when a 26-year-old construction worker was stabbed near his working site and another attack of a 68-year-old man fishing by the East River in which they were rushed to the hospital.
After two hours, a 36-year-old woman was stabbed multiple times outside United Nations headquarters, in which a taxi driver witnessed it.
However, police recovered two knives, and the victims identities have not been known.
