Actor and former wrestler Dave Bautista recently appeared on the latest episode of “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” to challenge the idea that Donald Trump is a tough guy. Viewers couldn’t help but notice that Bautista seemed to be speaking directly to the male demographic.
Standing in a boxing ring, Bautista, known for his roles in “Guardians of the Galaxy” and “Dune”, began his roast with, “Fellas, we gotta talk. A lot of men seem to think that Donald Trump is some kind of tough guy. He’s not.” He then went on to list the reasons why he believes Trump isn’t as “tough” as some think, including mocking him for being afraid of birds.
Dave Bautista made fun of Trump’s appearance and behavior. He joked that Trump wore “more makeup than Dolly Parton.” He also mocked Trump’s physical fitness, saying, “Look at that gut. It’s like a garbage bag full of buttermilk.” These comments were accompanied by unflattering images of Trump, including one of him golfing.
The actor didn’t only poke fun at the former President’s looks but also criticized his actions, mentioning how Trump avoided military service during the Vietnam War. “Donald Trump had his daddy pay a doctor to say his widdle feet hurt so he could dodge the draft,” Bautista said. He also referenced Trump’s relationship with Vladimir Putin and claimed that the former crept around dressing rooms during beauty pageants.
Since the Presidential election is already around the corner and multiple polls are showing that many male voters are in support of Trump, Dave Bautista, who backs Vice President Kamala Harris, seems to be trying to change these voters’ minds. A survey by the New York Times and Siena College, conducted between September 29 and October 6, revealed that Trump is leading among likely male voters nationwide, with 53% support compared to his opponent’s 42%.
“This November, let’s stop kidding ourselves,” Bautista concluded, urging viewers to reconsider their perception of Trump.
