Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has listed his side’s squad that will face Barnsley in the Carabao third round.
The game will kick off at Old Trafford by 20:00 BST and will end at penalties if both teams tie after 90 minutes. The Red Devils will be looking forward to having their second consecutive win after they defeated Southampton 3-0 during the weekend. Ten Hag has named a strong squad to help his team secure the win.
He has also made eight changes as against what he fielded in the previous match with summer signing Manuel Ugarte, who will be starting in the home game. Ugarte will be partnering with Toby Collyer, who is playing his first senior start, in midfield.
Atlay Bayindir will also be given the opportunity to make his second appearance for Manchester United after he first played in last season’s FA Cup victory over Newport County. Jonny Evans may continue his left-back role while Antony will play the right wing and Marcus Rashford will play a central attacking position.
It is also possible that Casemiro will play with Harry Maguire in defense, captaining the team; exact positions could also be shuffled once the match starts.
