Labor Day Store Hours: What’s Open and Closed

chick-fil-a

Labor Day holiday is like other holidays where stores will be on lock; this holiday will not affect stores and retailers as opportunities for shopping will be available, but federal and state government offices will be closed.

Let us take you through what to know.

Postal Services: Mail delivery will not be available as the post office will be affected by the holiday, but preferences will be given to Priority Mail Express, which will still be delivered. However, UPS locations will be open for some hours, and delivery services will be restricted to Express Critical. Aside from FedEx Custom Critical, other FedEx services will not open. Amazon delivery service is also affected by this holiday, and business there commences on Tuesday.

Banks: Except for ATMs that will be operational for cash withdrawals and deposits, no bank will be opened to customers on Monday.

Retail and Restaurant Locations: More like we can say for banks, the same can not be said for retailers, as some like Costco will not open and restaurants like Wendy’s and Chick-fil-A will open but for limited hours.

Stores that are expected not to close down for business on Labor Day include:

– Best Buy

– Big Lots

– CVS

-Dick’s Sporting Goods

– Dollar General

– Dollar Tree

– DSW

– Staples

– Target

– Trader Joe’s

– Walgreen’s

– Walmart

– Whole Foods

– HomeGoods

– Sam’s

Club (closing early at 6 p.m.)
