On September 7, American rapper Cardi B welcomed a baby girl into her little family. She shared the news on Instagram with pictures and videos of herself holding the newborn in a hospital bed. The 31-year-old also captioned the post, “The prettiest lil thing 🌸🌸 9/7/24 💖💖💖.”
This is her third child with estranged husband Offset, who was also featured in the Instagram carousel, and it’s also her second daughter. The pair are already parents to a daughter, Kulture, 6, and a Son, Wave, 3. She first announced her pregnancy on Instagram early last month, just a day after filing for divorce from Offset, according to Page Six.
Cardi B and the Migos rapper have been married for 6 years, and during their time together, a lot of cheating rumors were brought up time and time again. Between September 2017 and January 2018, two videos circulated online that showed Offset cheating on her with two different women. It is reported that the videos were uploaded by someone who claims that they had hacked the rapper’s iCloud account.
In December of 2018, Cardi B announced that she and Offset have separated and are looking to get a divorce. At the time, she claimed that while they still “got a lot of love for each other,” they have chosen to part ways. However, the couple didn’t later go through with the divorce and ended up mending their relationship.
Now this year, 2024, a representative for the “Bodak Yellow” rapper has told PEOPLE that their separation is not in any way influenced by cheating rumors but rather that they have just been distant from each other for a long time now.
Also, according to Page Six, the mother of three is seeking primary custody of the kids and is not requesting child support. Cardi B, known for her chart-topping singles, numerous brand deals, and extensive portfolio, is rumored to have a net worth exceeding $80 million. So it’s pretty clear that she can take care of her kids on her own.
