Video: Man Sets Himself On Fire After Trying To Burn Home With Ex Girlfriend & Children Inside

A video captured a man catching fire after he tried to set the home of his ex-girlfriend ablaze – the woman and her children inside the house.

The burning man, identified as 46-year-old Artemio Sanchez-Ortega, was seen running out of the woman’s property and out into the street in Albuquerque, on May 24, after he mistakenly set himself ablaze while trying to burn her and her children inside the house with a gasoline can he was holding.

The footage from a neighbor’s surveillance camera saw the yard suddenly engulfed in flames while he was there.

Watch below:

Sanchez-Ortega ran off while still on fire, into his truck and escaped. Sanchez-Ortega ran off while still on fire, into his truck and escaped. He is yet to be caught as at this time.

“The instant karma of the situation was weirdly satisfying”, the neighbor who owned the CCTV camera said. ‘I kind of had to laugh at the sort of amateur hour situation there, if you’re going to commit arson, try to do it without setting yourself on fire”.

The woman and her kids were unharmed by the attack. In her statement, she said that the former boyfriend could have been drunk when he called her three times before the fire attack. I “could tell he was drinking, she said.
