Famous 29-year-old TikTok star Eva Evans has passed away. Her sister Lila Joy confirmed the news in an Instagram post on Sunday, though no cause of death has been revealed.
“My beautiful sister, has died,” Joy wrote. “After 24 hours, I still find myself in a constant cycle of denial and acceptance…I wish I had Eva here now to refer to because she would have better words.”
Eva Evans had cultivated a following of over 300,000 on TikTok, where her comedic yet insightful content providing a candid look at being a 20-something woman in NYC resonated with many. Some of her most popular videos included using zodiac signs to recommend NYC neighborhoods and giving apartment touring tips.
Beyond just brilliant short videos, Evans was also the creator of the web series “Club Rat,” which followed the dating adventures of a young influencer and is available to stream on Prime Video. Her creativity and authentic portrayal of modern city life made her a rising star.
Fellow content creator Julia Fox shared an emotional video calling her “a New York icon” who was “so young” with “so much to do in life.”
Her untimely passing comes just days after another popular TikToker, entertainment gossip vlogger Kyle Marisa Roth, also died suddenly at a young age.
