Korey Cunningham, a former offensive lineman whose NFL career spanned three teams across five years, has passed away at the age of 28.
Authorities confirmed Cunningham’s untimely death after he was discovered deceased at his residence in Clifton, New Jersey, on Thursday. Police initiated the visit following concerns raised by a family member who was unable to reach him.
While the circumstances surrounding his death are under investigation, law enforcement has ruled out foul play as a contributing factor.
A graduate of the University of Cincinnati, Cunningham entered the NFL as a seventh-round draft pick for the Arizona Cardinals in 2018. After a season with the Cardinals, he embarked on stints with the New England Patriots over the following two years.
In 2021, Cunningham joined the New York Giants, remaining with the team for a two-year tenure. Notably, he did not participate in NFL games during the 2023 season.
