The entertainment industry is mourning the untimely loss of actor Chance Perdomo, who died at the age of 27 as a result of a motorcycle accident. Perdomo’s publicist confirmed his passing in an official statement to Variety.
“It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of Chance Perdomo’s untimely passing as a result of a motorcycle accident,” the statement read. “His passion for the arts and insatiable appetite for life was felt by all who knew him, and his warmth will carry on in those who he loved dearest.”
No further individuals were involved in the fatal incident. The family has requested privacy as they grieve this profound loss.
Chance Perdomo gained recognition for his starring roles in popular television series such as Netflix’s Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, where he portrayed Ambrose Spellman, and the Prime Video series Gen V, a spinoff of The Boys, in which he played Andre Anderson.
The Gen V producers issued a joint statement mourning Perdomo’s passing, praising his kindness and immense talent.
“Chance was always charming and smiling, an enthusiastic force of nature, an incredibly talented performer, and more than anything else, just a very kind, lovely person,” they said. “We are so sorry for Chance’s family, and we are grieving the loss of our friend and colleague.”
Born in Los Angeles on October 19, 1996, Chance Perdomo spent his childhood in England before returning to pursue an acting career. He gained early experience through the National Youth Theatre and Identity School of Acting.
In addition to his breakthrough Sabrina role, Perdomo was lauded for his performance in the 2018 TV movie Killed by My Debt, earning him a BAFTA nomination. He also appeared in the popular After film franchise alongside Josephine Langford.
