The spotlight is nothing new to Miranda Lambert. Fans are talking and responding with supportive messages on social media about everything from her heartfelt personal moments to her anniversary celebrations with husband Brendan McLoughlin, to her red carpet looks at the Grammy Awards.
Few of Lambert’s Instagram posts have drawn as much attention—or anxiety—as her announcement in March that she was leaving her Sony music label after 20 years. Following her statement, “I can’t wait to see what the next adventure holds,” the 39-year-old singer received an overwhelming amount of love from her fans, along with some curiosity and worry.
You don’t have to worry about her taking off her western wear just yet. The “Somethin’ Bad” singer had actually already hinted at some exciting news when she made that announcement. The GRAMMY Award-winning team of Miranda Lambert and Jon Randall officially announced this week that they would be collaborating to start their own record label, Big Loud Texas, an imprint of Big Loud Records.
Longtime friends and allies in the music business, Randall and Lambert even worked together on the 2021 album The Marfa Tapes. They will now work together to sign and advance each artist on Big Loud Texas’ roster.
“As a teenager chasing my dreams in the honky-tonks of Texas, Nashville seemed so far away,” Lambert said in a press release. “Every time I’m back home I get to hear the incredible talent our state produces, and I feel a responsibility to help get more of those Texas voices heard. I’m really excited to team up with my buddy Jon Randall and Big Loud to do just that. Get ready, y’all—we’re bringing even more Texas to town!”
“Very blessed to share this full circle moment with one of my best pals, Miranda Lambert, and help some other dreamers chase their song around the world,” said singer-songwriter Randall, who will also serve as Big Loud Texas’ president.
Naturally, Lambert and Randall will provide excellent guidance to the artists joining Big Loud Texas, and they will be in wonderful company as members of Big Loud Records. With artists like Morgan Wallen, Lauren Alaina, Dallas Smith, Maggie Rose, and many more, the label has risen up the Billboard charts since its founding in 2015.
