Meet The Fire Nation MVPs Of Netflix’s Avatar: The Last Airbender

Back in 2005, Nickelodeon’s Avatar: The Last Airbender left a lasting impression and is still lovingly recalled today. The bigger ensemble of characters on the show is adored by the audience, and they all have their favorites, especially when it comes to the members of the Fire Nation.

Netflix has unveiled fresh perspectives on the major figures in the Fire Nation for its upcoming live-action series ahead of its annual Geeked Week celebration. The youthful prince Zuko (played here by Dallas Liu) and his uncle General Iroh (Paul Sun-Hyung Lee) are the two most significant members of the group. Daniel Dae Kim’s Fire Lord Sozin, Zuko’s father, exiles him in the television series.

In part to get the youngster out of the way, Sozin commands Zuko to find the Avatar. But when the real Avatar, a 12-year-old Airbender called Aang (Gordon Cormier), reappears as the last of his kind and the only person with a chance of ending the Fire Nation’s century-long rule, everything changes.

Zhao, a Fire Nation general who is as eager to apprehend Aang as the exiled prince is, and his younger sister Azula (Elizabeth Yu) complicate matters for Zuko. While the first season of the original program will be adapted, there will be some changes made as well. One of those changes includes putting Azula to the foreground rather than having her appear in a later season.

In 2024, Netflix will release Avatar: The Last Airbender; as part of the streaming service’s Geeked Week, which runs from November 6 to 12, we’ll discover more about the program.
