Pam Bondi Resumes As U.S. Attorney General Despite DOJ Controversy

Pam Bondi, a nominee of President Donald Trump for Attorney General, has just been confirmed and has resumed today at the Justice Department.

Bondi will be greeted with controversies that surround the sacking of prosecutors and agents who were involved in cases that are related to the president and the Capitol Riot that happened on January 6, 2021.

The new attorney general will be expected to release a department-wide memo on her first day of resumption and orders that will reverse legal moves from the administration of former president Joe Biden, which will point to a change in the DOJ’s approach.

These actions, if taken by Pam Bondi, will seek to redirect focus away from FBI dismissals and the January 6 pardons.

Concerns have continued to grow among officers as the department reviews more than 5,000 employees that were tied to the investigations of January 6, despite a promise by officials that there are no plans for mass sacking.

This effort is a follow-up to the executive order that was signed by the president to scrutinize the actions of the Department of Justice and put an end to what he labeled the weaponization of government.
