Tottenham Beats 9-men Unlucky Liverpool

Tottenham Beats 9-men Unlucky Liverpool

Tottenham has continued to impress and is on the same points as Arsenal, and one point behind Premier League leaders Manchester City.

Spurs went up against 9-men Liverpool after two players got red cards with a significant time to play.

Curtis Jones and Diogo Jota left the game early and they have been suspended for the next match.

Luis Diaz had a controversial goal ruled out for offside and the VAR failed to call the referee to check the goal.

Son Heung-Min who has been on fire for Tottenham since the beginning of the season tapped in Richarlison’s cross to put the hosts in front in the first half.

Just before halftime, Cody Gakpo leveled the game for the visitors.

Diogo Jota replaced Gakpo who had hurt his knee at halftime, but the Portuguese had barely stayed 25 minutes on the field before he was sent off for two yellow cards inside 90 seconds, fouling Destiny Udogie both times.

Just when Liverpool thought that they had secured a point, Pedro Porro’s low cross deflected off Matip and into the net, giving the hosts all three points.

Allison Becker was in his best shape again, denying Maddison and Son im the first half.
