Wolves did an outstanding comeback against Fulham at Craven Cottage after a 4-1 win, going a point above the relegation side and securing their first win in the Premier League this season.
Alex Iwobi scored the first goal in the 20th minute, giving Fulham the lead. Iwobi capitalized on a Wolves defensive error to fire a left-footed shot into the top corner of the post. Wolves responded through Matheus Cunha’s goal after putting pressure on the match.
Cunha made the comeback in the 31st minute after a successful conversion of a good pass from Mario Lemina before he lifted the ball over Bernd Leno.
Cunha did not relent in performing excellently after he returned from the international break, creating another assist through a pass to Joao Gomes that he converted into a goal.
The Brazilian scored Wolves third goal, firing a good short into the net in the 87th minute, making him the star of the match. The last goal was scored by Goncalo Guedes in the stoppage time, making the second half the best for the Wolves.
Fulham missed an opportunity to score in the early time of the game when Raul Jimenez’s attempt hit the pole and the team lost momentum, making Wolves dominate the match. Fulham won their last two games.
