If PSG target Ousmane Dembele leaves the team, Barcelona may compete with Inter Milan for Alexis Sanchez’s signature.
In order to find a replacement for French international Dembele, the Blaugranas may opt to try to sign the 34-year-old back on a free transfer, according to Spanish news outlet Mundo Deportivo, via FCInterNews.
For the upcoming season, Sanchez is a player looking for a new team.
Last summer, the Chilean joined Marseille.
He did so after leaving Nerazzuri and terminating his employment agreement amicably.
According to reports, Inter is thinking about bringing Sanchez home unexpectedly. According to rumors, Joaquin Correa’s exit might pave the way for the former Arsenal and Manchester United player to return to the San Siro.
Though from a more distant era, MD speculates that Sanchez might decide to return to a different club.
The Chilean played for the Blaugranas for a total of three seasons, just as he had for Inter.
From Udinese, Sanchez relocated to Camp Nou in the summer of 2011. He later departed for Arsenal in 2014.
For the Blaugranas, Sanchez made 141 appearances in all.
Sanchez, however, might make a trip back to Barcelona nine years after his initial departure from La Liga.
The experienced forward is being considered by the Blaugranas as a potential replacement for Ousmane Dembele, according to MD.
The Paris Saint-Germain team is interested in Dembele. The reigning French champions are seeking to close a deal quickly.
The Blaugranas would look for a stylistically similar successor if Dembele were on the way.
Sanchez might be that replacement, however, they might have to outbid Inter to sign him.
