Woman Found Alive After Been Declared Dead & Taken To Funeral & Crematory Center In Iowa

Days earlier, a care home in Iowa was fined $10,000 after they mistakenly declared a 66 years old woman dead while she was still alive.

The incident happened at the Glen Oaks Alzheimer’s Special Care Center in Urbandale on January 3, where she was receiving hospice care.

She was placed in a body bag and taken to the Ankeny Funeral Home & Crematory, where the workers found she was still alive and breathing and called 911.

However, she died two days later on January 5, after being returned to hospice care.
