Rapper Big Scarr has been confirmed dead and although an official cause of death or how he died has not been released, there are reports that he either died from a drug overdose or was killed in a shooting.
Big Scarr had earlier survived being killed in a shooting earlier this year after a bullet hit his torso and traveled all the way to his chest.
According to him, doctors had to split him open and remove his appendix so that he could be on his feet again.
“I was moving, so the bullet kept moving too. The doctors had to split me down the middle to save me. My insides got messed up, and they had to remove my appendix, so I could walk again. I recovered and bounced back way quicker than I thought though.”
Sadly, the up-and-coming rapper signed with Gucci Mane’s New 1017 Records died at the age of 22 years old.
“This hurt ? I’m a miss you@bigscarr?”, his boss had said in an Instagram post, mourning the death of his signee, real name Alexander Woods.
What actually happened to Big Scarr; be it a drug overdose as rumored or shot at remains unverified. Although some quarters might allege his death from gunshot wounds and complications from the previous shooting, an official confirmation will clear the air.
Big Scarr has a mixtape titled “Big Grim Reaper” to his name. The album which featured Gucci, Pooh Shiesty, Foogiano, and producer Tay Keith quickly hit the top at the No. 25 position on Billboard’s Hot 200 album chart and No. 1 on Rolling Stone’s Breakthrough 25 Chart.
Big Grim Reaper was also awarded a Gold certification by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
