A teacher who lost her job after posting pornographic images of herself on OnlyFans claims the offensive images were circulated to “humiliate her.”
The 40-year-old Indiana teacher Sarah Juree made the decision to post content to the adult website while she was still in the classroom.
The former instructor was working with pupils in the fifth or sixth grade as part of the Department of Defense’s Starbase program.
Sarah decided to contact OnlyFans to relieve some of the financial strain because the money she was earning as a teacher was not enough to cover all of her expenses.
Sarah chose to visit OnlyFans after being persuaded by a friend who had successfully earned a sizable sum of money there.
The teacher’s presence on OnlyFans was discovered by a local reporter, who then published an exposé, which quickly turned Sarah’s life upside down.
Sarah’s employers later fired her, but she is still working for OnlyFans.
Sarah claims that she now makes £9,000 a month from the sale of her X-rated content, so even though she was fired, her bank account is in no way empty.
The former teacher acknowledges that both the fact that she lost her job and how her images were used affected her even now.
Speaking on the 20 Minutes Of Your Time podcast, Sarah said: “When someone uses your photos and distributes them all over a social media platform in an effort to humiliate you, it’s devastating.
“Even on OnlyFans, the photos distributed were consensual and behind a paywall.
“It’s a different type of feeling to be victimised by someone weaponising technology and photos against you.
“I feel like this concept of revenge porn is a warning against woman and women’s bodies.”
Sarah has criticized being fired from her teaching position and claims that the decision was made with unfair criteria.
“It’s become an acceptable part of dating culture, yet men aren’t getting fired for those pictures.
“Those pictures are not considered pornographic.
“Yet my picture, and my nude photos of a female body, was considered pornographic, it was considered wrong and shameful – even a fire-able offence.”
Sarah is a mother and an OnlyFans creator. She has previously discussed how she introduced her new position to her kids as a “social media influencer.”
