Antonio Brown, a former wide receiver in the NFL, has expressed conflicting emotions in public regarding quarterback Tom Brady. The wide receiver rushed off the field shirtless after a regular-season game against the New York Jets last year, which affected their connection.

And the quarterback of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers was a significant reason why Brown earned a Super Bowl ring with the team a couple of years ago.

After publicly doubting their friendship in January, Antonio Brown then changed his mind and told TMZ that he is a wonderful teammate and one of his true friends.

The following month, Brown alleged on Instagram that Brady had lied to him about his touches in his final game with Tampa Bay and that the Buccaneers were to blame for his ankle injury.

This week, Brown used his go-to tool, social media, to retaliate against Brady and his trainer, Alex Guerrero. Guerrero and Brown have a history of conflict because, in Brown’s opinion, Guerrero failed to repay all of the $100K the wideout paid him for his services. We don’t know if they ever found a solution.

Brown made the decision to criticize Brady on Wednesday because of his choice to miss time with the Buccaneers for non-football-related reasons.

Brady won’t return until after Tampa Bay’s second preseason game against the Tennessee Titans, which is this Saturday, according to Todd Bowles, the head coach of the Buccaneers. Brady’s absence is being taken for unexplained reasons, but it seems intentional.

While most people were fine with the 45-year-old icon taking a break during the preseason, Brown was not one of them.
