Deion Sanders, the head coach of the University of Colorado football team, has stated that he recently had surgery to take off his bladder after doctors noticed a tumor when a routine vascular exam was conducted on him.

The coach, who has officially announced that he is now cancer-free, revealed that he will not stop coaching the University of Colorado football team this season. The doctor, Dr. Janet Kukreja, who performed the surgery on the 57-year-old coach, revealed in her press program that Sanders is “cured,” a word she rarely mentions.

The coach decided to make the surgery a secret, as he did not mention it to any of his close relatives or players until recently.

Sanders, who is very popular for his humour, frankly talked about the changes he is now experiencing after undergoing the surgery, saying, “I depend on Depends.” He did not stop at that; he also appealed to people to do regular medical checkups.

It was also mentioned that part of his small intestine was taken to create another bladder for him. This is not the first time that Sanders has faced health challenges; he had earlier experienced toe amputations and blood clots.

The Buffaloes begin this year’s season without the humorous coach managing a team that has one of his sons for the first time, with Travis Hunter and Shedeur Sanders now in the NFL.
