On August 4, Rep. neighbors made two 911 calls pleading for the sheriff to come to their area where they said Lauren Boebert’s husband Jayson had run over a mailbox and was threatening them.
A neighbor can be heard yelling at Jayson and attempting to explain the situation to the dispatcher in two 911 calls that The Denver Post has obtained.
Both 911 callers said that Lauren Boebert’s son was racing down their residential street in a Razor Dune Buggy when the incident started. He allegedly ordered neighbors to “Fuck off” when they requested him to slow down.
Then, according to the neighbor who yelled at Jayson, Lauren Boebert’s husband drove his truck quickly down the street while screaming that someone was trying to punch his son, although the neighbor claimed no one actually did.
The Garfield County Sheriff’s Office let the neighbors settle the conflict after the dispatcher sent officers to the site.
The sheriff’s office kept quiet about the incident when confronted by the 911 calls that contained evidence of potential drunk driving, speeding, property damage, and threats to hurt other people.
The head of the political action group American Muckrakers then made the decision to act independently and requested that the Garfield County Sheriff’s Office, the local district attorney, and Colorado Attorney General Phil Weiser investigate into the Boeberts’ relationship with them.
