Man Who Killed 3 People In Denmark-Copenhagen Field’s Shopping Mall Shooting Had Mental Issues

Man Who Killed 3 People In Copenhagen Field's Shopping Mall Shooting Had Mental Issues

According to police reports, the suspect related to the shooting in Copenhagen mall, which left 3 people dead and others injured, had prior history of sanity issues.

The suspect has been identified as a 22-year-old Danish man and though he is thought to have acted alone, authorities say further investigations are been conducted to verify that,

The gunman opened fire on people in a shopping mall called Field’s around evening. He was arrested by the police 13 minutes later.

Reports revealed that he would be charged with three counts of murder and 7 counts of attempted murder.

The shooting, which is relatively strange and said to be unrelated to terrorist attacks left a 47-year-old man and another boy and girl, both aged 17, dead.

Three females and one male between the ages of 16 to 50 were reportedly injured and in critical condition.

The Danish prime minister, Mette Frederiksen, in a statement, described the shooting incident as a cruel attack, sympathizing with the victims.

Incidents of gun violence and other mass shootings are relatively rare in Denmark due to their strict laws on obtaining and the use of firearms, unlike the United States that have a liberal approach to the ownership and use of firearms but have an alarming case of gun violence and death.
