Liverpool has now progressed through to the FA Cup quarter-finals after beating Norwich City 2-1 at Anfield. A first-half brace by Takumi Minamino was enough to send Jurgen Klopp’s side through to the last eight of the competition for the first time since 2015.
Lukas Rupp gave the visitors a ray of hope with 14 minutes to go but it wasn’t enough to prevent the Reds from maintaining their unbeaten run this year. Minamino opened the scoring after some great hold up play by Divock Origi and then added a second with a thunderous half volley just before half-time.
Rupp’s consolation caused a somewhat nervy ending but Liverpool held on and will find out their opponents for the next round on Thursday evening.
