Over a dozen Disney-owned channels are currently off Google-owned Youtube TV after the duo failed to reach an agreement.
As a result of the lost channels, the monthly subscription cost of the Youtube TV which was $65, was reduced by $15. The new monthly cost of a subscription now stands at $50.
The list of channels that have been taken off Youtube TV as a result of the lost deal are:
- Your local ABC channel
- ABC News Live
- Disney Channel
- Disney Junior
- Disney XD
- Freeform
- FX
- FXX
- FXM
- National Geographic
- National Geographic Wild
- ESPN
- ESPN2
- ESPN3 (by authentication to the ESPN app)
- ESPNU
- ESPNEWS
- SEC Network
- ACC Network
Disney has said in a statement that they are ready to reach an agreement with Youtube Tv as quickly as possible in order to minimize the inconvenience to viewers.
While Youtube TV said in the media channel:
“We’ve held good faith negotiations with Disney for several months,” YouTube TV said. “Unfortunately, despite our best efforts, we’ve been unable to reach an equitable agreement before our existing one expired, and their channels are no longer available on YouTube TV.”
