An employee has sparked concerned conversations after he uploaded a video of himself throwing away many unsold donuts into the trash bin on TikTok.
According to the post, it was a policy of the company to trash any leftover donuts, fresh ones are produced the next day.
The employee, Aiden with username aidenshaw142 was “feeling unhappy” with the “waste” as he captioned the video saying;
“I hate closing here…throwing over a hundred donuts away every night or more. Not even two years ago, I was scrapping change to buy a coffee and donut”
“Sucks not been able to give this many donuts away because of “cooperative.” So sad watching these homeless couple dumpsters dive for donuts that is soaking in coffee, coffee ground, and milk, but they would choose to watch them dive than to hand them free donuts”
A comment asked him to give out the donuts himself but he said he stands risking his job if he does so.
