A homeless man identified as Fishton Ngoy, sexually assaulted and raped a woman inside a moving train while other passengers did nothing, but watched and live-streamed on Instagram.
The ugly incident which was also captured on surveillance camera, happened around 10 pm in El Train destined for 69th street terminal.
It took the effort of a SEPTA employee on patrol, who called the police after he saw the worrisome act, that got the man arrested,
Fishton Ngoy has been charged on counts of rape, indecent assault, amidst others, while the victim was receiving treatment in a hospital.
There were a lot of people…that would have intervened…someone should have intervened…it speaks to where we are in society”, a police officer, Bernhardt, said as he expressed shock at the attitude of other passengers while the rape went on.
