Mompha has come out to deny the news making rounds that EFCC told him to maintain a low profile after Hushpuppi was arrested in Dubai.
The false News which have been making rounds have it that after Hushpuppi was bursted, Mompha’s DM was filled with people blaming him for the arrest. They held that Hushpuppi was arrested because he was always trying to live up to the flamboyant lifestyle of Mompha.
The alleged blame rush made Mompha delete his photos on Instagram and this made EFCC contact him, directing him against doing that and maintaining a low profile.
Mompha has come our to deny the rumor as contained in the statement below, as released by him;

This has come as a great surprise to me, as I neither made such statement or insinuated any thing of such via any means or platform. I want to use this medium to categorically state that the statement currently circulating the social media and online space is false and devoid of any iota of truth. I only made reference to a minor incident that occurred last year that resulted in me deleting my pictures and later reposting them which only has to do with my personal and private affair.
