Yar Adua’s son, Aminu Yar’ Adua, was imprisoned by a magistrate court in Yola for allegedly killing 4 people in a car accident.
The son of the former president of Nigeria was charged to court for the death of 4 people and 2 others injured due to his alleged bad driving that resulted in a car accident.
Aminu Yar’Adua however pleaded not guilty in court and was imprisoned pending the conclusion of the case.
Those killed in the car crash were identified as 30 years old Aisha Umar, 32 years old Aisha Mamadu, 2 years old Suleiman Abubakar, and 30 years old Jummai Abubakar. Those injured were identified as 28 years old Rejoice Annu and 27 years old Hajara Aliyu.
The families of Aisha Umar, Suleiman Abubakar, and Jummai Abubakar demanded 15 Million Naira from Aminu Yar’ Adua for the death of their relatives.
The case was adjourned to 19th August 2021, for further hearing while Yar’ Adua’s son, Aminu Yar’ Adua was remanded in jail.
