Activist Omoyele Sowore was shot by policemen and injured during a protest rally held today in Abuja.
Sowore was shot at his right thigh by policemen already stationed at the protest rally ground before his arrival with other protesters.
It was gathered that the policemen also shot at the unarmed protesters to disperse them.
The human right activist announced the shooting incident on his Twitter handle.
