The Centre of Excellence is set to sue the celebrities over failure to remit tax from various incomes, and this is not the first time such is happening. However, Davido claimed to pay his taxes to his state of origin- Osun state, while AY said he pays his taxes to Ondo state, also his state of origin, even as no official response have being gotten from them on the current saga.
But in a swift reaction, the LIRS said they should know that tax is paid in the state of residence.They also sought to know the amount Davido paid as tax from his 30 Billion Concert, where the singer alleged he made N500m as profit.
They vowed to charge the artists, as well as other tax evaders to court in record time.
