The controversial blogger has resorted to well-meaning Nigerians for aid due to various illness she contracted while in Port-Harcourt Maximum prison. They include eye injuries she sustained after being punched, foot infections due to constant exposure to the prison’s wet floors & dirty toilets- with no footwear being provided, typhoid and malaria, dental & ear infections as well as waist, back, and chest pains. She is also being treated for depression and anxiety.
She also lamented on her Instagram page that her business website “www.hnnafrica.com” has been lost because she was unable to renew her domain name during her incarceration. She was arrested in March 2017 and was refused bail, after she reported popular Pastor David Ibiyeomieof Salvation Ministrieswas having an affair with Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo. She was finally released on the 9th of January, 2018 after spending a total of 90 days behind bars during the period. She is well known for her community and social activism.

Already Nigerians have started trooping in funds to get her going. The self-acclaimed Queen/King of Snapchat- Bobrisky, came up with the hashtag #HNNBobrisky to drum-in support for her.
Also poular comedian Seyi Law also wrote that his baby daughter-Tiwa, just emptied her savings account to help aunty Kemi.
