Meteorologists have issued a warning about a recent anddangerous winter threatgathering farther south, as many Americans in the northern United States continue to dig out from prolonged bitter cold and constant snowstorms.

A powerful storm system is likely to happen later this week and intensify over the weekend, and could bring widespread, crippling ice from Texas through the Carolinas.

Professionals in the know have warned that the likelihood of it may be too destructive.

Ryan Maue, who used to be the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s chief scientist, mentioned that the system will likely be catastrophic, with the claim that the sheer scale of the gathering of ice could engulf communities unaccustomed to such conditions.

Those who forecast sometimes say that as little as a half inch of ice can topple power lines and snap tree limbs, while greater gatherings could cause lengthy and widespread power cuts.

Utilities officials are extremely concerned and uncertain about what will likely be the outcome.

The chief executive officer of the Newberry Electric Cooperative situated in South Carolina, Keith Avery, issued a warning stating that significant icing on infrastructure could severely cause power outages and make efforts to normalize the effect dangerous and difficult.
