Victor Osimhen outdid himself in a Champions League game, scoring a double in Galatasaray’s 3-1 win against Bodo/Glimt, securing straight wins in the European game for the first time since 2012.

Osimhen, a champion of Africa, fired the first goal of the game with a well-calculated shot through an assist by Mario Lemina, then pounced on a defensive error to score the second goal before the end of the first half.

Victor Osimhen was also an agent in the last goal, firing up teammate Yunus Akgun to net the final goal for Galatasaray.

The two goals by the Nigerian talisman made history for him as the first player of the club to net in seven straight major European games, beating a record earlier set by Burak Yilmaz.

His consistent playmaking lifts the spirits of the squad, although he missed the opportunity to earn a hat trick. Bodo/Glimt, without a win in the group stage, put more pressure but only found the back of Galatasaray’s net just once through Andreas Helmersen.

Galatasaray, which had earlier secured a win against English side Liverpool, moved from 14th position in the standings to 21st, while their opponent has just two points in three matches.
