Jobe Bellingham finally got on the scoresheet for Borussia Dortmund, and Felix Nmecha’s two goals helped the team beat Copenhagen 4-2 in the Champions League.
The 19-year-old Bellingham, playing his second straight game in Europe since moving from Sunderland for £27 million, set up Nmecha’s opener in the 20th minute with a smart pass. Nmecha fired it into the net to give Dortmund the lead.
Things got strange when Copenhagen equalised through a clearance from Ramy Bensebaini that hit Waldemar Anton and bounced past goalkeeper Gregor Kobel, giving the Danes a bizarre goal.
Dortmund then took the lead again when Bensebaini scored from the penalty spot after Serhou Guirassy was fouled. Nmecha scored his second with a deflected shot in the 76th minute, and Fabio Silva added a late goal to seal the win.
Viktor Dadason scored a late header for Copenhagen, but it was too little, too late. Dortmund now has seven points from three games and is gearing up for its next match against Manchester City, while Copenhagen still hasn’t won a game this season.
