Chelsea has secured a slot to play in the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup after earning a tough 4-3 win at Molineux against Wolves. The Blues under coach Enzo Maresca will be having their next tough game on December 15th against Cardiff City.

The first 45 minutes of the match were dominated by Chelsea, snatching a whopping 3-0 lead against Wolves after Andrey Santos, Tyrique George, and Estevao netted for them. Estevao’s goal was achieved through his capitalisation on a turnover.

Wolves picked up their form against the Blues as soon as the second half commenced, with the first goal from Tolu Arokodare and David Moller Wolfe netting the second, bringing the score to a very tough 3-2.

A new twist confronted Chelsea when Liam Delap was given a red card after receiving two quick yellow cards. Jamie Gittens scored Chelsea’s decisive fourth goal, which earned them their spot in the next round.

The quarter-finals in the competition will feature big games, including Arsenal vs. Crystal Palace, Manchester City vs. Brentford, and Newcastle vs. Fulham.
