Lionel Messi is training to outdo himself in a tough clash against his former team, Paris Saint-Germain, after Inter Miami made their way into the knockout stage of the FIFA Club World Cup after their 2-2 tie against Palmeiras.

The game against Palmeiras, which was played at Hard Rock Stadium, was electric as it looked smooth from the beginning before Tadeo Allende struck and Luiz Suarez scored the second goal to double the lead with 60,914 fans ready to celebrate the victory.

But Palmeiras refused to give up as Paulinho fired in less than 10 minutes left before Mauricio stunned them. Group A belonged to the Brazilians on goal difference.

The row gives Inter Miami a chance to move on as they landed in Messi’s old backyard. This next showdown with PSG will mean from teammate to rival.

Meanwhile, Al Ahly and Porto lit up MetLife Stadium with pure mayhem while Wessam Ali scored a hat-trick. Romdhane added flair. But Porto clawed back every time, Rodrigo Mora, William, Aghehowa, and finally, Pepe in the 89th minute.

Ending the game in a wild 4-4 draw. The draw means that the two teams walk away with two empty points.
