The Los Angeles Lakers seem to be losing their form, but that is not the main story. The gist is centered on their star player, LeBron James, who collided with Timberwolves’ Donte DiVincenzo and was writhing in pain on the floor.
Many viewers believed that the impact was not so hard to make him be in so much pain. A video clip showed the moment he collided with Donte and had a knee-to-knee contact with him. Watch below:
According to online critics, he was already getting tired of the game and wanted a way out. The critics based their claim by comparing the body build of LeBron and Donte, arguing that he was taller and heavier than the opponent, and was in fact compared to a linebacker.
“The white guy is like 80 pounds, LeBron is built like a linebacker…u can tell he is totally faking it”, MambucaX wrote.

While some claimed the Lakers’ star was faking the injury, others said he was soft and berated him for “crying like a baby“, and another called him an embarrassment to the NBA.
The review was also moved to Donte DiVincenzo, who did not lose his balance despite having a bigger LeBron James moving faster than him when the collision happened. Why is he acting “dramatically” like he was shot, Bill Carlson wondered.
In fact, Yahoo Sports referred to it as a Hollywood script.
Lakers’ performance was poor, and Dončić acknowledged the fact and said the Timberwolves deceived the Game 5 playoffs win. He, too, had a not-so-good performance, thanks to his injured back.
