A horrific shooting that happened at Slappy’s Express Car Wash in part of Forest Hill has resulted in the death of a North Texas rapper, G$ Lil Ronnie, and his 5-year-old female child.
The shooting happened on the morning of Monday at around 11 a.m. when two men were seen going out of a four-door Kia before they fired the shots at the victims.
Family members are able to identify the deceased as 30-year-old rapper G$ Lil Ronnie, officially known as Chuckie Smith, and his daughter, who just celebrated her fifth birthday on Sunday.
Not too long after the casualty, the police responded but were unable to rescue the victims, who were pronounced dead at the scene.
Officials claimed that the attacks were done deliberately and have identified one of those who committed the crime, although their names are yet to be released.
Those around the scene reported that they heard multiple gunshots, which caused panic, making those at the venue run for safety. Becky Johnson, a neighbor, described the quick firing of the shots and the conflict that came after. Authorities called for backup to manage the crowd that gathered at the scene.
The car wash has been put on temporary lockdown and is helping the authorities to unravel all that happened.
Police have commenced the search for those who committed the heinous act while neighbors and lovers of the rapper mourn the painful loss.
