Border Tsar to President Donald Trump, Tom Homan, has come out to boldly defend the new administration’s deportation efforts after Hollywood actress and singer Selena Gomez released a video of herself crying and criticizing the hard policy on migrants. Watch below:
The singer, who has a Mexican heritage, tearfully mentioned in the video that “All my people are being attacked, and children.” She added, “I wish I could do something, but I can’t,” with “I’m sorry” and a Mexican flag emoji.
In his strong backup of the policy, Homan told Fox News, “If they don’t like it, then go to Congress and change the law. We’re going to do this operation without apology.” The new immigration policy has caused a crackdown across the United States, with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) reporting on Sunday that it arrested 956 migrants.
The emotional video was later taken off her page after much backlash; she later did a follow-up, saying, “Apparently it’s not OK to show empathy for people,” before she later deleted the follow-up too.
Selena was widely criticized for not voicing out on crimes committed by some of the illegals as well as the thousands of children that are separated from their parents and go missing at the US borders. Thousands of those children are yet to be accounted for and end up as victims of child sex trafficking.
Homan went on to support the arrests, mentioning that they targeted national security and the public, and further went on to ask what the singer’s concern is for sex trafficking victims.
