Popular Smallville Actor Tom Welling, who played a young Superman in the TV series, was arrested in Yreka, California, for DUI.
Welling was taken into custody after he was booked in a parking lot by the Yreka Police Department authorities.
The 47-year-old was charged with driving under the influence because the Yreka officers recorded a blood alcohol level of 0.08 or above.
Nobody knows why he was driving under the influence, but the actor recently celebrated the birthday of his wife on social media.
“Happy Birthday to our Angel who makes our dreams come true and inspires us even more!” he wrote with strings of photos of Jessica. “We love you to the moon and back!”
Welling played Clark Kent on Smallville, which ran for a decade, and he was exceptional.
He also started in Lucifer, Draft Day, The Winchesters, Batwoman, The Choice, and The Fog among others. But now, Welling wants to get back to his superhero days.
“You know, I think now because of the two boys that I have with my lovely wife … we have a bunch of costumes at home,” he told Comicbookmovie.com. “It started out at the first Halloween and now we have, I don’t know, 40 or 50 costumes. The one costume we don’t have is the Superman costume.”
“I asked my son why, and he said, ‘Because he’s taken’, and I said, ‘By who?’ ‘By [you].’ That was like, ‘Alright, I think I’m open to the idea now.’ So, if you know anybody, I think it would be great. I think it would be fun to be part of,” he concluded.
