It was a nice outing for Manchester City as the team returned to winning games after Erling Haaland scored two goals and Savinho fired a brilliant attempt to put the team on a 4-1 win at the Etihad Stadium against West Ham.
The first goal was an own goal by West Ham’s Vladimir Coufal, while Haaland scored two more goals and Phil Foden capped the victory. Savinho had his night with three brilliant works that led to all three of City’s opening goals.
The deflected cross that Savinho did led to Coufal’s own goal, while his precise delivery gave Haaland his first goal.
Another brilliant pass from him to Haaland was successfully converted into a goal, making it the striker’s ninth goal against West Ham United. A brilliant shot from Niclas Fullkrug led to West Ham’s only goal, but their lack of good defense was obvious again as Kevin De Bruyne found Foden with a good assist to seal Manchester City’s victory.
There continues to be mounting pressure on West Ham United’s manager, Julen Lopetegui, due to their recent form, including losing 5-0 to league leaders Liverpool.
Manchester City’s recent consecutive win brings hope and the title nearer despite their unconvincing first half, while they sit in the sixth position on the Premier League table.
The loss for the visitor further compounds their challenges, leaving them in 13th place in the Premier League table as they battle for consistency.
