Serie A side Udinese, in a new release, announced the return of their star Maduka Okoye after he underwent a successful surgery. The Nigerian international was a victim of a wrist injury after his involvement in a clash during their match against Genoa last week.
The club, in their release, appreciated the doctor, Doctor Loris Pegoli, who conducted the surgery at the La
Madonnina clinic in Milan.
Maduka Okoye, who confirms the news, also posted that “Surgery is done. Big thanks to Dr. Pigoli and his team. Played the last 2 months with a broken ligament in my hand, for now I’ll be supporting the team from the stands, recovering and working hard for a comeback in top form. “See you soon.”.
The Nigerian talent will also be going through rehabilitation and will not feature in any match for weeks while it is yet to confirm the date of his return to the pitch.
Okoye has also done well for the club to establish himself as their first-choice goalkeeper in the second half of last season.
The goalkeeper was also instrumental to the crucial role that the club played in their survival games in Serie A in the last season.
Okoye, who is currently 24 years of age, has played in 14 league matches for Udinese this season.
