Rookie side receiver Ladd McConkey on Saturday recorded his name forever in franchise history in New England in a crucial match that helped the Chargers to secure a postseason position.

Ladd McConkey broke the Chargers’ rookie records for receptions and receiving yards, making it a total of 77 receptions for 1,054 yards. He broke Keenan Allen’s 2013 record of 1,046 yards and 71 catches.

Ladd McConkey, being a spectacular rookie, finished Week 17 with a great display by recording two touchdowns and eight catches for 94 yards, assisting the Bolts by dominating early and maintaining control throughout the game.

The first touchdown by Ladd McConkey was scored during the Chargers’ fourth drive. Justin Herbert, a quarterback, threw the ball in the center of the porch on first and goal.

The second goal by the rookie entered in the second half, and this goal helped the Chargers to cement their victory. McConkey moved and broke the defense, then caught a 40-yard pass from Herbert.
