A talented child actor, Hudson Meek, who was popular for his spectacular roles in Baby Driver and the MacGyver reboot, has passed away at the age of 16, as announced by his family. He died on December 21.
Jefferson County Coroner Bill Yates, in a statement, revealed that the child actor died from blunt force injuries that he sustained after he fell from a moving vehicle two days before his death. The accident occurred at 10:45 p.m. on December 19th, and he finally succumbed to his injuries on December 21 after being hospitalized.
“Our hearts are broken to share that Hudson Meek went home to be with Jesus tonight. His 16 years on this earth were far too short, but he accomplished so much and significantly impacted everyone he met,” read a statement posted on hisInstagram accounton Saturday, also noting that a celebration of life ceremony would take place on Dec. 28. “Please pray for Hudson’s family and friends as we all process this sudden and tragic loss,” it concluded.
The teen actor gained global popularity when he acted in the 2017 ‘Baby Driver’ by Edgar Wright, where he played the role of a younger version of Ansel Elgort’s character, Baby.
He began his professional career in 2014 with an uncredited role in ‘The Santa Con’ together with his brother Tucker Meek.
Hudson Meek, before his death, also featured in other movies such as ‘Legacies’ and ‘Genius’ and ‘Found,’ including the role of voice lead in the animated YouTube series Badanamu Cadets and Badanamu Stories.
